Ah, Spring

Today was just a beautiful day.  Spring in Florida is really paradise.  Today the smell of fresh cut grass filled the air as all the lanscapers had come out of hibernation.  Flowers are everywhere and the sky is so blue.

Speaking of blue skies, I went to the LYS today.  I want to make Baby the bunny from Itty Bitty Toys for his first Easter.  I have some stashed cotton that I could use, but I have fallen in love with Blue Sky Dyed Cotton.  It’s my favorite yarn.

I decided to drive the long way, along the beach.  It was such a beautiful drive.  White sands beaches, beautiful still water and a brilliant blue sky all made me want to play on the beach.

When I got to the yarn store, it was new yarn day.  They had just received a shipment of Blue Sky Dyed Cotton, just what I went in for!  I got to see their new spring colors too.  They are so beautiful.  This yarn is so wonderful.  Most cottons are quite coarse to knit with, but this is like knitting with a cloud.  And on top of that, all this yarn is 100% organic!

I met another cloth diapering mama there and we talked about soaker patterns.  It was so nice to talk to someone about this.  She had a lot of good advice for me.

Baby’s preteething so he’s been moody lately.  He woke up in the middle of the night last night and yelled about his sore gums.  I felt really bad for him, and also for myself because I wanted nothing more than to go to sleep.  Poor me, right?  Just kidding.  Well, I’m glad I have such an awesome LYS and also that I live in Paradise, it makes life so great.  I was glad to have a wonderful afternoon after such a crappy night.

I’ll leave you with some yarn porn:

All the yarn I need to make the Bunny and the Pig.  Ah, I love Blue Sky Dyed Cotton.  Have I said that yet?
